If you've been looking for fun ways to exercise your creativity and make something beautiful, come along to this workshop and make a lovely heart decoration from air-drying clay.

Air-drying clay is an easy-to-use material that lets you sculpt without worrying about a kiln or any other specialised equipment. Under the guidance of a friendly and experienced teacher, you'll learn the best methods for sculpting using clay as you create your unique clay heart. It's ideal to hang on your wall, your door, or to give as a gift for someone who needs it.

Don't worry if you've never made anything with clay before, as your teacher will be on hand throughout the class to make sure you're getting the hang of things, ready to lend a hand if needed.

You will get an amount of clay to sculpt your creation. You can take home the sculpture, but it will take 24 hours to 3 days to dry.

I got home from work one day as a psychiatric nurse and my husband surprised me with a starter kit to make candles. I made it with difficulty, but when we lit it, it was the best feeling. I forgot all about my work worries.

I then started making candles in nice jars for myself, and a few friends asked if I could make them some to have and sell in their coffee shop. It took off from there. I started making other crafts when covid moved on and then ran workshops with patients and staff as my confidence grew. Due to being so busy I left the NHS. I now run workshops for several charities and have created The Foraging House. My little business has helped me grow as a person and makes me very proud.

Being plastic free and as sustainable as possible are top priorities. I recycle and reuse natural resources, as well as forage for a lot of materials.
