Joan was such a lovely instructor. She explained every step clearly and made us feel completely at ease from the very beginning. The class was perfectly structured and moved at a great pace, giving us plenty of time to learn and enjoy the experience. What really stood out was how much Joan wanted us to get the very most out of the session. Thanks to her guidance and encouragement, we both ended up with a pot to keep as a lovely memory of our time there. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone who may be unsure about trying pottery throwing. Thank you, Joan, for making our time with you so special!

From the moment I was lucky enough to have their experience confirmed until walking out with those very special 2 people having produced a great pot each, it was more than they or I could’ve wished for. Mostly because my mum has always wanted to try out throwing on a pottery wheel. She loved it and so did I. Joan was an excellent teacher. Really well prepared and she made sure we all had a proper hands on experience and craft our own pot. She was brilliant at explaining the process and guiding us. The studio was easy to find and very well organised and equipped. We relaxed and had a great time. Thank you.

Joan is really friendly and helpful and didn’t just do it all for us. Joan did a really good job of dividing her attention between the 4 of us and giving us guidance and reassurance. Highly recommend booking this class.

Joan was very welcoming and had got everything ready to give her students the best experience (although I was very lucky and the only student that morning). She's thought out the best way of teaching, breaking the whole process down into stages, for instance having a half-made pot for you, so that you can practice different techniques. You then make your own pot from scratch - and she is excellent at giving advice, helping you to remember the hand positions and techniques but doing this without taking over. She is very patient! I'd thoroughly recommend her workshops to anyone else.
