Kids' Pottery Party at Home

Looking for fun kids activities at home to celebrate your child’s birthday or another event? Pottery is a fun creative way to spend time with your family and friends whilst exploring your creative side!

During this fun online class, you'll use your DIY kit to make amazing clay creations. From cute owls and fish plaques, animals and monsters out of pinch pots to magical fairy doors, let your talented teacher know which object you'd like to learn to make and get ready to get creative!

Children can expect to learn a fun hand-building method such as slab building or pinching pots. As you will be using air-drying clay, there's no waiting or patience required as there is no need to glaze or fire your pot — once dry it can be painted with acrylic paints for more creative fun!

Your DIY pottery at home kit will provide you and your little ones with all the tools and templates you will need and anything else required is easily sourced at home.

By the end of this pottery online class, participants will have a finished clay creation to admire as well as some new pottery making skills. This fun indoor activity is a creative adventure for all — young and all!

• 1.5 kg airdrying clay
• 8 piece pack of tools
• A paintbrush
• Rolling guides (for slab building projects)
• Sequins/googly eyes for decorations

• Two non-laminated wooden boards
• A sharp knife
• A small container for water
• Cling film
• 1 x rolling pin
• 1 x teaspoon
• 1 x fork
• 1 x tea towel

• Textured objects for pressing into clay (e.g. jewellery, bread knife, leaves, stamps, cookie cutters, buttons, textured wood, cinnamon stick, bubble wrap, hessian, lace, anything else to press in texture you can find)
• Drill bits and screws
