It would be a good gift for any level of painting experience the tutor really adapts to you. I was looking for a painting class but we didn't want to do the paint and sip party, not really my scene. This was super good. We both have left with a really nice painting each. Would definitely recommend. It was a little cold so maybe bring a good jumper they provide a covering for you. + more

Our teacher Brandon took us through the technical part of the kintsugi process with well paced & clear instructions. The class size was 10 today & everyone was fully supported throughout with individual attention. Equipment & pottery bowls were of excellent quality. Brandon is an astute, affable and warm person who found the time to connect with everyone in the class. We loved how the 2 hour class became a journey of self discovery as we learn to cope with things we've never done before, make & rectify mistakes, accept & appreciate support and become 'masters of our destiny' with the act of restoring our bowls. Great job, Brandon and thanks for sharing your nuggets of wisdom! Amazing way to spend an afternoon; highly recommend this great 'hands on/heart on your sleeve' experience to gift or one to enjoy for yourself or to share. + more

Experience Gifts For Dad London
Unique London gifts for Dads who have everything
The eternal gifting dilemma: what on earth do you buy the dad who seems to have acquired absolutely everything he could possibly need (and then some!)? You've probably exhausted all the gadgets, the books and the shirts. Well, these London experiences for dad are the ultimate antidote! When material possessions no longer cut it, the most precious thing you can give is an unforgettable experience. ClassBento specialises in just that – gifts for dad in London that are guaranteed conversation starters and offer an exciting new challenge he'd never think to buy for himself. It's the perfect solution because you're giving him a brilliant memory rather than just more clutter.
Here are 5 unique ideas that’ll really bring the wow to his gifting:
- Blacksmithing or forging taster: He might have every tool in the shed, but has he ever tried this? He can head to a real forge, learn to work with fire and steel, and hammer out his own knife.
- Beer making and tasting: Perfect for the dad who knows his IPA from his porter. He'll learn from a brewer how beer is made, from mashing the grain to adding the hops, and taste a range of craft styles along the way.
- Glassblowing taster: It doesn't get much more "wow factor" than this. In a real artist's studio, he'll get to work with molten glass, learn the basics of this fiery craft, and shape his own unique paperweight or colourful bauble.
- Wood carving workshop: A wonderfully mindful and traditional skill. He can spend a few hours learning the satisfying craft of spoon carving, transforming a simple block of wood into a beautiful, functional utensil to take home.
- Whisky blending: A fantastic sensory experience. He'll taste his way through a range of whiskies, learn what gives each one its flavour, and blend his own signature dram.
Why London experience days for dad outshine material gifts
Trying to choose between a physical wrapped present or a hands-on London experience day? Use this quick decision-making guide based on what matters most to your dad.
|
If Dad values... |
London Experience Gifts (e.g., Pottery, Cooking, Tastings) |
Traditional Material Gifts (e.g., Tools, Gadgets, Clothes) |
|
Quality Time & Bonding |
The ultimate connection. It’s a brilliant way to ditch the distractions and share a laugh over a few mistakes in a vibrant London artisan studio. |
Keeps him occupied, but it doesn't give you a setting to spend focused time together. |
|
Exploring New Hobbies |
High exploration. He can try something entirely new, like a whisky blending session, hands-on glassblowing or a terrarium making class. |
Low exploration. Material gifts usually double down on things he already does rather than sparking a brand-new passion. |
|
Sustainability |
Eco-friendly. Experience gifts are kinder to the planet because they minimise waste, need little to no packaging, and create zero unwanted home clutter. |
Comes with excess plastic and cardboard packaging, with a high risk of becoming just another knick-knack to find a home for. |
|
Flexibility |
Maximum convenience. Perfect for the busiest of dads. Vouchers are valid for three years, giving him plenty of time to schedule his perfect day out. |
Instant gratification, but if it doesn't fit or he doesn't like it, you're stuck dealing with returns or exchange policies. |
|
Expert Access |
Premium learning. He gets direct access to top-notch London kitchens, local artists, and expert tutors you can only find in the capital. |
He is left to figure out how to use the item on his own, usually by reading a manual or watching videos online. |
5 best gifts for Dad in London
If you're looking for the absolute top gifts for dad in London to create a truly special moment, you're in the right place. From slowing down and unwinding with a whisky or wine tasting evening to the hands-on satisfaction of a wood carving workshop, these experiences are designed to really impress. Forget the usual pair of socks; gift him the excitement of tackling a creative challenge, learning a brilliant new skill, and walking away with a unique keepsake. How to plan days out for Dads in London
Planning the perfect London experiences for dad is half the fun, and we make it completely stress-free. Here’s a simple, step-by-step guide to locking in a brilliant day out.
- Figure out the vibe. Is the goal messy, hands-on fun (like a pottery class) or something with relaxed focus (like a wood carving workshop or gin tasting)? Considering what he'd genuinely enjoy is the perfect starting point.
- Book for total flexibility. To make these truly stress-free experience days for men in London, choose a flexible gift card. This allows him to pick the perfect class on the perfect date, taking all the pressure off you.
- Plan the 'before and after'. Why not elevate the class into a full day out? You could book a table at his favourite nearby pub for lunch beforehand or find a great spot for a celebratory pint after the class.
- Ditch the phones. The best part of these classes is the shared, focused time. Make a pact to leave your devices tucked away during the class. It ensures full focus on the connection and having a laugh.
- Just turn up and play! This is the best bit. Show up ready to laugh! All the materials, tools, and expert guidance are provided by our friendly teachers – zero stress, just pure creative enjoyment.
