Get ready to craft your very own butter dish while enjoying a complementary glass of fizz in this fun and creative pottery workshop in Bristol! You'll learn the basics of slab building, guiding you through the process of shaping your butter dish to perfection. Once it's formed, you can really make it your own by adding personal details like carvings, painting, or even trying out the sgraffito technique for extra flair!
Throughout the class, you’ll receive plenty of tips and inspiration from your talented teacher as you explore hand-building techniques and add those unique touches – whether it’s stamping your name on your piece or creating intricate designs. It's the perfect way to unwind, get hands-on with pottery, and take home a functional piece of art!
After the workshop, your butter dish will need to be bisque fired, glazed, and fired again, with the process taking around 4-6 weeks. But don’t worry, you’ll be emailed once your piece is ready for collection – and if you can't pop in right away, we'll keep your creation safe at the studio for up to three months after the collection email is sent.
