Discover slab hand-building techniques with this virtual class as you get hands-on with some calming clay. New to pottery? Don't worry, this laid-back pottery class online is ideal for beginners and will take a fun and leisurely pace so you can enjoy the relaxing benefits of DIY pottery.

Over Zoom, with the help of your friendly teacher, your will use air-drying clay to mould a decorative clay creation. Once dry, your dish can be painted later on at home, using acrylic paint — meaning that the creative fun can continue after this virtual class.

By the end of this pottery at home session, you'll have a gorgeous handmade clay dish to call your own, as well as some newfound pottery making skills and techniques!

  • A non-laminated wooden board
  • A sharp knife
  • A small container for water
  • Cling film
  • A rolling pin
  • Teaspoon

  • Tea towel
Non-essential objects are:
  • Textured objects for pressing into clay (e.g. jewellery, bread knife, leaves, stamps, cookie cutters, buttons, textured wood, cinnamon stick, bubble wrap, hessian, lace, drill bits, screws and anything else to press in texture)
Suitable for

This Box and Live class is great for individuals and couples as well as for virtual team building activities at home. Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 5 years old). An adult must be present whilst kid(s) engage with the box.

This would also be a unique gift for her, gift for mum or anniversary gift.
