I’ve always believed that working with clay is more than just making something beautiful. It’s a way to slow down, reconnect with your hands, and find a little peace in a busy world.
My journey with pottery began 3 years ago when I took my first class at college to de-stress and find a moment to connect with myself. From the moment I touched my first lump of clay, I was hooked. There was something profoundly grounding about the process, messy, humbling and full of small victories, and I knew I had found my passion.
Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to honing my craft and sharing it with others.
One of the things I love most about teaching is watching that moment when a student feels the clay respond to their hands for the first time. No matter how many times I see it, it never gets old. Pottery has taught me patience, resilience and the beauty of imperfection and I’m passionate about helping others discover the same.
I feel so grateful to be part of a wonderful local group of talented artists (Art in Dunchurch) and to have had my work included in several group exhibitions. But the most rewarding part of this journey is seeing students leave my class with a sense of pride and accomplishment (and sometimes, a little clay still on their clothes).
Whether you’re curious to try pottery for the first time or looking to deepen your skills, I’d love to welcome you into the studio and help you discover what you can create.
THANKS FOR LETTING ME SPREAD MY LOVE FOR CLAY!
