Double-Date Pottery Workshop and Challenge

Specifically designed for couples, this one-hour, double-date throwing challenge will knock everyone's chops off! Two couples (4 people) pair up and challenge one another in a pottery throw-down. It's the perfect double-date idea for those looking for something funky.

The potter will provide a demonstration before sitting each couple at a pottery wheel and sending you off to do some competitive and collaborative throwing.

There are three parts to this experience:

Part one: To start, both couples will make an individual pot each on the pottery wheel with hands-on assistance from the potter. This is great practice on the pottery wheel to get you used to the clay. You will make two pots per couple and vote who has the best pots. Sounds easy enough!

Part two: Next, is a collaborative challenge. Both couples simultaneously engage to make the tallest or biggest pot. You and your plus one will need to work together as a team - the couple with the best pot wins.

Part three: And finally a competitive throw-down! A challenge where you make a form with everyone blindfolded. Apply the skills you've learnt together in a quick 'pot-off', and rely entirely on touch alone - you'll be amazed at the results! This is by far the best part of the challenge; push your skills to beat the other couple. The emphasis is on having fun.

Once you've enjoyed your wheel-throwing experience, you can get your creations fired and glazed for an extra fee. The potter will complete the ceramic-making process for collection approximately 8 weeks later. Just check our add-ons options! The extra fee is for ALL items to be fired (not per item) so just select quantity: 1 upon checkout.

Your booking is private with sole occupancy of the studio - no potting about with people you've never met before! It's just the four of you, the potter and some mud that we sling on the pottery wheel.

Although the listing says 'public class', the studio only has two pottery wheels, so your booking is private - bonus!

The ticket price for this experience is for four people.

Do not take part in this activity if any of the following are applicable to you:

• Allergic to, or react to clay
• Suffer from severe asthma, or have breathing difficulties
• Are recovering from surgery or broken limbs, fingers, ankle, shoulder injury, spine issues or back strains

• Items Glazed & Fired (£40)

• All materials you need to make your pots.
• The Potter will take action shots of you throwing on the wheel for you to keep.
• Aprons supplied to wear over your clothes

• No need to bring anything as everything is included.
• Unfortunately, the Pottery Experiences are not wheelchair accessible.
