What you'll do

Learn how to make a decorative dish from scratch using slab hand-building techniques as you get hands-on with some calming clay.
Don't worry if you're a beginner potter, at this laid-back pottery workshop in Hertfordshire you'll learn simple and easy techniques and have the on-hand support of a friendly teacher.
You will have the option to use white clay and then paint what you make using a huge selection of beautiful glazes. Following your session your makes will be glazed in a clear gloss and fired ready to be collected at a later date from the studio or posted for an extra postage fee. Alternatively, you can choose to use air drying clay which will not need to be fired and can then be taken away with you on the day. Air drying clay dries hard, can be later painted using acrylic paint and will be decorative only whereas with white clay the dishes will become pottery following firing and can be used functionally.
Enjoy this peaceful pottery class as stress-busting team building, some creative fun with family or friends or as a fun activity for a birthday celebration. Whatever the occasion, you'll walk away with your very own handmade dish and some newfound pottery making skills!

From pottery parties for adults and children to corporate team building events, my fun and engaging workshops are a wonderful way to let loose and get creative together.
We are passionate about all things pottery, from hand-building to wheel throwing, and want everyone and anyone interested, to enjoy working with this wonderful art form and craft!
