Make a Marbled Ceramic Coffee Mug Clay Handbuilding Class

Are you looking for a relaxing morning learning about ceramics?

2.5 hours

Class size 1 to 6 (public classes), 6 to 10
£49 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Important venue update: From May onwards, all workshops will take place at our new studio at 377 Station Road, Forest Gate. If you are booking a class scheduled after May, please note the new location when planning your visit.
Are you looking for a relaxing and enjoyable morning activity? Join us for our marbled mug making workshop, where you can sip on tea or coffee while crafting your very own coffee mug. Meet some like-minded ceramic enthusiasts at the same time!
During this laid-back workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn pottery techniques and create your own unique mug. Sorrel will guide you through the process, teaching you the fundamentals of slab building and marbling, helping you to form and decorate your mug.
You will learn three different types of marbling, all with different levels of difficulty!
No prior pottery experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided.
The workshop will last 2.5 hours, and you will be required to return to the studio at a later date (approx. 3-4 weeks) to collect your mugs once they've been fired in the kiln. Postage available at extra cost.
The group will be limited to six people.
Please note: We strive to help you create something amazing during your pottery class. Because each piece is handmade and involves many variables (such as clay handling, glaze, and firing conditions), we’re unable to offer refunds or replacements for defects or damages that occur in items you’ve made.
What you'll get
All materials to make one ceramic mug or two ceramic espresso mugs.
