Short but with enough information to get started. Then we selected our first pottery piece and hit it with a hammer! The instructors (Nousheen and Amelia) were on hand to guide us through and there were plenty of materials. Loved it!

Booking was super easy and there were enough communication but not too much about the event. Super easy to park nearby and the Cafe Bembe where the class took place was fantastic (great coffee & cake) would even suggest going a little earlier and having a bite to eat. Class was a lovely mix of couples & same sex groups. Which is so unusual for craft workshops. The two ladies running the class were absolutely brilliant. They could not do enough for you. Everything was well explained and very easy to follow. A great selection of china to choose from and all through the class you were given helpful tips and tricks. Our final pieces were fantastic and we had the best time. Would 100% recommend as a great activity. Thank you for a lovely afternoon

The instructors were attentive and knowledgeable, and I loved that they encouraged us to accept the imperfections of the process. There was a nice selection of pottery pieces to choose from and enough time to do 2-3 kintsugi. It was a very warm afternoon, so the glue on my second piece was taking longer to set and it was smearing when I tried to wipe away the excess gold dust. The instructor was so kind in sending me home with extra materials so that I could fix some parts later. Just a great experience all around.

We had a monkey ornament that had sentimental value and a broken spoon rest. We were helped by the two ladies and they were so helpful, knowledgeable, patient and enthusiastic towards our personal projects. We can away so happy that we had restored our items and are now displaying them. They’ve now got another little story that we can tell about how we fixed them up. Have a go at this class and if you have items to take with you all the better. It’s such a beautiful philosophy that a ‘broken item’ can be restored and the damage is given pride of place.

The instructors were kind, friendly, extremely supportive and clearly specialists in their craft. I love the fact that we got to delve into the history and stories of Kintsugi and although it's necessary to do a more modern version, it stayed very close and respectful to the original philosophy and methods. A wonderful heritage workshop. Thank you.

The facilitator explained techniques clearly, was responsive to our needs, and offered the option of taking some materials home if we hadn't quite finished our piece. Very enjoyable.

The teacher was lovely, very friendly and very informative and helpful. Had a great time but you have to have patience, waiting for the glue to set! but overall a really great experience and will definitely try it a home.

A variety of dishes were supplied which we first smashed then puzzled the pieces back together. Holding each joint together for at least five minutes without destroying the other joints was the most trickiest part. A true test of patience. This is not a relaxing activity. It’s challenging and very rewarding

The teacher was brilliant, she was so knowledgable, patient and hands on. The venue was great! The business owner even came over to chat with us all and make sure we had everything. She was super friendly and lovely! We laughed a LOT. We had loads of encouragement and tips throughout the session and top quality materials to use. We both made something we loved, once we practiced the skill. Can't praise it highly enough!

The glue could not hold the piece together even after holding it for several minutes (we did time it). The instructor was telling us that the pieces would stick despite the entire class stating that our pieces were not sticking with the glue. I did like that we were given better glue for the second attempt which did hold the pieces together. The instructors said they could send us the instructions on how to do kintsugi from home which was a nice gesture. However, the experience was not worth 50 pounds per person. Really disappointed

The lecturer was very patient and made sure all attendees were supported while making more time for the ones that needed some extra help. All supplied materials were ample to get the job done and clearly some thought when to the organisation of the course including prepared packaging to take your new art pieces home afterwards!

Perhaps if I'd been more relaxed and had more time, I would have had more success. Would still recommend to others though.

Brilliant teachers, lovely atmosphere, top quality materials, lots of fun smashing, the therapeutic element of reassembling and taking my finished piece away. The glue fumes were really bad and not ventilation whatsoever, we ran out of glue and was a bit of a pain keep asking for more. Overall it was ok experience, I wouldn't do it again. Also for that price I would have expected a bit more.
