Q: Is this a wheel throwing class?
No, this is a hand building pottery workshop. You will shape clay by hand using beginner-friendly techniques such as pinching, joining, carving and adding texture. We do not use pottery wheels in this session.
Q: Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes. This workshop is designed for complete beginners, and our tutor will guide you step by step throughout the session.
Q: Can I take my pottery home on the day?
No. Your piece will need to dry and be fired in the kiln first. We will contact you once it is ready for your return glazing/painting session. After glazing, it will be fired again and then ready to collect.
Q: Is glazing included?
Yes. Your ticket includes the making session, materials, first kiln firing, a return glazing/painting session and final kiln firing.
Q: Are there cats in the studio?
Yes, our studio is home to friendly cats, and they may be around during your visit. Please keep this in mind if you have allergies or are uncomfortable around cats.
Q: Is the studio wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, no. Our studio is located in a basement space with stair access only, so it is not wheelchair accessible.
Q: What's the cancellation policy?

O&E Artcraft Studio is a small independent creative studio based in Glasgow city centre. We offer relaxing, hands-on craft workshops for adults, children and families, including pottery, beading, crystal jewellery making, painting, collage, printmaking and seasonal creative classes.Our studio was created from a love of slow, mindful making and the belief that art does not need to be intimidating. Whether someone is a complete beginner or already enjoys creative hobbies, we want every guest to feel comfortable, welcomed and free to explore their own style.We are especially passionate about teaching because we enjoy seeing people gain confidence through making something with their own hands. Many of our workshops are designed to be calm, friendly and beginner-friendly, with step-by-step guidance, all materials provided, and plenty of room for personal creativity.Alongside adult craft workshops, we also run children’s art classes and creative sessions, helping young learners build imagination, confidence and practical art skills in a supportive environment.Our studio has a warm, local and personal atmosphere.
