The lady we had teaching us was so lovely and kind and made an effort to get to know us personally. My friend and I really enjoyed the class and learnt a lot about pottery and it was such a good introduction to it. She let us get to it straight away and showed was needed to be done. My daughter and I had a very enjoyable 2hr taster session.
The venue is a little tricky to find, but following signs to the barber's helped! Everything was set up, ready for us and the instruction given was very good and supportive. Lots of time to make several pots and the class size (4) was ideal.
The session comes highly recommended by both myself and my daughter. I'm sure we'll do it again soon :)

The length of the session was sufficient to observe Filipa demoing, trying to throw as many as we can ourselves and choosing colours for the one we want to glaze. Her studio was really cool with vases and pots everywhere, all so beautiful. The taster course was good value for money and I enjoyed learning from Filipa
She is incredible at pottery and provided clear and direct feedback on my technique. It was tricky for me but she was really patient and encouraging, as I found it hard to remember all the techniques. I'd definitely love to do a course!

Teacher was good definitely knew her subject. Liked the small class size materials were good . Good pace to the session and tutor gave relevant support. I shared the new experience with my partner so good value for money . I would definitely recommend the class. I only had one negative which was locating the venue as its a little tugged away off the main road however still a good experience

Really enjoyed my beginners pottery and managed to make four things. I found the centring of the clay quite hard, but Filipa, the teacher, helped me when it was going wrong ensuring I learnt and had an end product!
I went by myself and the other students (max 4 in total) were friendly. I felt comfortable going alone.

Our teacher was excellent, patient and support.
Demonstration to begin with highlighting the key points in terms how to position yourself at the wheel, speed of the wheels, the tools to use etc.
It was a relaxed atmosphere and the group size was “bang on” 4. Time went quickly!

The teacher is very responsible and contact us before the class to make sure we can find the place. The studio is just a few minutes walk away from metro so very convenient.
She is very welcoming and patient to guide us the whole process, taught us step by step and the key tricks to make a good pot.

Had such a good time in this class and was left really interested in continuing to learn more about pottery. Filipa was fantastic and showed us the basics of how to make a pot and then gave us plenty of time and clay to practice. If you make a mistake (which I did many times) she's on hand to help and guide you through the process, but if you're a bit of a pro then you can just go where your creativity takes you.

What a fantastic experience, me and my partner honestly came away from it just wanting to do more! Having never done anything like it before was definitely new to us but we loved it. We went to this as a family of 5 ( 2 kids aged 10 years & 14 years). We had 4 wheels with 2 of us sharing one wheel & we all had a fantastic time. Philippa was an excellent teacher and very patient. We got to have 3 go’s at making our pottery pots on the wheel with lots of support from Philippa and then we picked our favorite pot to go in the Kiln & for subsequent glazing. This was a brilliant experience & would highly recommend it. Will definitely return!

Wonderful experience and an even better teacher. So patient and knowledgeable. We got a demonstration and then had four goes at the wheel. We then got to pick two of our favourite creations and select the glaze we want. Very cosy and intimate studio and we are already thinking of going back !

The teacher was excellent. Very knowledgeable, friendly and interesting. She made the session relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable. All four people on the course made two really good pots each and the teacher will fire them and glaze them in a glaze of our choice for us to take home in four weeks. I made a small vase and a bowl suitable for dips. I can’t wait to see the finished results!

What an amazing class! Filipa is a fantastic teacher, she is super knowledgeable and taught us in a relaxed and easy to understand way. She shown us the process step by step and was there to help when we needed it. She is very friendly and accommodating. The space was cool and very easy to get too.
