Little Elephant Clay Sculpting Workshop

Join this elephant sculpting workshop in Oakley and get hands-on with air-drying clay in a fun, beginner-friendly environment. You'll learn essential hand-building techniques, including shaping, moulding, and smoothing, as you bring your own unique character to life.Under the expert guidance of Michaela, founder of Michaela's Creative Arts, you'll be supported through every step of the process. This relaxed morning is all about the joy of creation, and you're encouraged to add your own personal flair to your clay friend. Everything you need is ready for you, so you can simply show up and start making.During this session, you'll work with:

• Air-drying clay – A versatile medium that doesn't require a kiln.
• Sculpting tools – To help you refine the details of your elephant.
• Aprons – To keep your clothes tidy while you get messy.

This class is a wonderful way to switch off and find your creative spark alongside others. You'll finish the session with a sense of accomplishment and a one-of-a-kind handmade keepsake to display at home.Please note:

• Your elephant will be ready to take home the same day, but it will need time to dry before it can be painted.
• You'll see a beautifully decorated sample for inspiration, and paints will be available to purchase for a small additional cost if you'd like to finish your piece at home.
• Please bring a small box to carry your creation home safely.

Good to know:

• The venue has parking. Upon arrival, park in the car park at the front of the shop. Unload your vehicle into your classroom. Staff will then advise you where to park your car for the day at the rear of the complex.
• There is disabled parking and ramps allowing access to all areas. There is a disabled toilet. Staff will help anyone in need of assistance. There is a shop on site selling an enormous range of goods relating to crafting: dressmaking, patchwork & quilting, knitting & crochet, sewing machines, and furniture.
• There is a coffee shop on site called O for Coffee. Attendees at our classes are visited by coffee shop staff regularly throughout the day to take any orders. Anything consumed during your day is sold at a 10% discount. As well as a large choice of hot and cold drinks, the menu comprises savoury choices including sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes, and soups. For those with a sweet tooth, there is a selection of cakes and scones made in-house with gluten-free and vegan options.

Cancellation Policy:

• Should Tudor Rose Patchwork have to cancel a workshop, you will receive a full refund.
• Should you wish to cancel your attendance on a workshop more than 30 days before the workshop date, you will receive a refund less our £5 administration fee. Tudor Rose Patchwork may be able to transfer your booking to another date.
• Should you wish to cancel your attendance on a workshop less than 30 days before the workshop date, your payment will only be refunded if we are able to fill your place, less our £5 administration fee.
• Refunds will be made via the original payment method or can be taken in the form of goods or other workshops or group dates to the value of the refund being made.
• If a pattern is available for the workshop and no refund is able, then Tudor Rose Patchwork will arrange for you to receive the pattern.
• Patterns are not available for workshops that you have not attended or paid for.
• Patterns remain the property of the tutor and should not be copied, passed on, or used for teaching purposes without the permission of the tutor.
