How it works

Request your preferred time
We'll send a ClassBento Box to you (a craft kit with what you'll need). Shipping in the UK is free, and you'll get your box delivered in time for your class. This craft kit only ships to UK mainland.
Enjoy the online class - after booking, you'll get a link to join the interactive class.
Kintsugi is an ancient art form that celebrates the Japanese philosophy of the beauty of imperfection. It involves putting broken pieces of pottery back together by embracing the cracks using Japanese gold mica powder. In this virtual class, which honours the traditional Japanese art of fixing with gold, an experienced teacher from Art4Space will guide you via Zoom through every step so that you leave with beautiful symbolic pottery with golden seams to treasure.
  • Book or request your preferred time, and we will confirm if our tutor is free or give further options.
  • We’ll send our Kintsugi box, and you will be able to send the individual addresses or one premises location for collection (please note we need all addresses at least 1.5 weeks before the online workshop).
  • Postage is within the cost and should arrive within 2-6 days. We ship nationwide.
As well as enjoying the hands-on experience with all the materials provided in the box, you will also learn a little about the history and philosophy of Kintsugi. We create up to 2 traditional Japanese bowls.
Your teachers are people who love the reflection, symbolism, and art of Kintsugi. We have achieved the best results. One of our teachers recently returned from living in Japan and follows the wabi-sabi philosophy that encourages a mindful acceptance of life’s flaws and transient nature, finding beauty in the ordinary and everyday. So please don’t throw that pot away; join us online and learn the golden seams technique!
Art4Space is a creative, inclusive, and welcoming environment to enjoy this unique virtual activity for a special team-building event.
Proceeds go towards our community art projects, providing mental well-being and creative health, especially for those facing barriers.
Outcomes from these workshops: shared project, creativity, connection, inspiration, wellbeing.
