  • 5/5 from Justine Bishop, attended Oct 2026: Me and two bestest mates had a brilliant few hours of clay fun - completely new to me (apart from adoring tv’s Pottery Throwdown) and only school experience from several moons ago for my mates. Our teacher, Gabby immediately made us feel welcome, comfortable and that we would be able to achieve some pottery success! After a brilliantly described and explained demo on the wheel, we were straight at the wheel but guided so carefully and confidently that it became huge instant fun. Gabby advised, checked and shared tips as all three of us made two pots each. We also did a pinch pot with coiling and under-glazed too. Gabby left us pretty much to it for the second pottery challenge which was madly confidence building, and allowed us to try and talk as well as be creative - such a laugh! Honestly this is a fabulous way to spend time exploring a creative outlet and I would highly recommend Terra Café pottery.
  • 5/5 from Kaf Faragher, attended Oct 2026: We booked this session as part of a friend’s 60th birthday celebration. What a hoot. Gabby our teacher for the day was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and very approachable. She offered encouragement, praise and guidance throughout the lesson. Firstly Gabby did a demonstration on the wheel to show the different steps and then let us loose to have a go. Not as easy as it looks but totally enthralling. We had lots of laughs at the shapes created but all very pleased to have produced two different pots each, and all six of them totally unique. We then moved into the cafe area to create a hand-built item using pinching and coiling technique. We got to apply undercoat glaze(s) on these and will collect all the glazed pieces in 6 weeks time. Great fun, you get some engrossed in the lesson you lose all track of time. An excellent afternoon to spend with friends making great memories.
