6 x 1.5 hours Class size 1 to 2     label £420

Escape to the beautiful landscaped courtyard of an East Anglian farm for a morning or afternoon, as we learn the traditional art of on the wheel thrown ceramics. In this hands on and interactive class, ceramic artist Annabel Wightman will take you through a detailed demonstration, before you will be guided, step-by-step through the process of throwing on the wheel.

Learn and develop your throwing skills in a 1-2-1 lesson, or bring a friend and have a go together!
Annabel will show you the steps of throwing a pot on the potters wheel from start to finish. Learn about centering, opening out, pulling the walls, and cleaning up your pots. By the end of the session you will have a small collection of thrown pieces to be glazed and fired by us ready for you to collect and take home approx. 4 weeks later.

At the end of the class you will then have the opportunity to walk across the courtyard to The Mixing Shed Cafe for a light brunch and real roasters coffee, and then off to the Loaf Tin Bakery to buy a loaf of bread.
