What you'll do

You must already be familiar with Bao Buns now. They are very popular in London. However, you probably haven't seen the advanced version of it yet. The twisted spring onion-flavoured Buns are very common in China. They are not seen in the UK though.

In this Bao Buns and Mantou Making Class in London, you will learn and taste them. Your experienced chef tutors will guide you step by step from flour to buns. You will get your hands on flour, on dough, on buns, and make them yourself.

It is a small class. Every guest will get full attention from the tutors. You will find yourself in a private class, often on a quiet weekday.

In this class, you will learn to make three classic Chinese Buns: Bao Buns, Mantou, and Spring Onion Twists, all from scratch.

Prepare dough from flour.
Prepare fillings.
Make the buns in their unique shape.
Cook and eat.

Allergy and Diet Information

This class is designed to be vegan-friendly.
Gluten is essential.
Milk is used for better presentation but can be avoided.

Add-On Classes

You can learn other types of buns in the same class. Of course, it will take longer in the class, but it saves your travel time. You can taste more varieties and enjoy learning more.
There are drink options as add-ons. You can relax and sip while making and eating your own handmade buns.
We highly recommend the Jajang add-on, the signature dish from our chef's family. If you joined our Beijing Jajang Noodle class before, you already know how to make it.
Crispy chili sauce is another popular add-on as it tastes so delicious. They are also available for purchase in the shop.
You will be served with homemade pickles with your buns. It is a good idea to learn to make some as well. You can find them in the add-ons as well.

Please note:

All ages are welcome as long as children are accompanied by paid adults.
Please do not bring your own drinks or food to the class.
This class does not suitable for pregnant women and young children as the workload and the length of class.

Refund and Reschedule
Please book the date you definitely can attend to help other customers' bookings.

There is no refund for cancellation.
Being later than 15 minutes to the agreed time will result in the booking being cancelled with no refund or reschedule.
The possibility of rescheduling is very limited and will be charged £50 per booking.

Knowledge required

Beginners are welcome.
Children over 14 are welcome as long as they are accompanied by paid adults. Everyone requires a ticket. Children learn better when parents participate.
A person under 18 cannot attend the class alone.
