What you'll do

Come and learn how to make artistic bento boxes as we guide you through the process step-by-step and teach you some of the most favourite Chinese dishes in our shop! A unique gift for the cook in your life or a twist on your school and office lunches.

This Chinese cooking class will start with an introductory talk where you will learn everything from the history of bento box making to modern-day trends. Then, it'll be time to get hands-on with your own creations.

You will find you are usually in small classes in a spacious air-conditioned shop, possibly even just you and the teacher if booking on weekdays. You will get full attention from tutors and your questions will be answered.

During this Chinese Bento Box Making class you'll learn how to:

Improve your knife skills significantly.
Prepare ingredients according to the dishes.
Cook signature dish 1: Potato Strips. Learn to cut potato strips thin as hair.
Cook signature dish 2: Potato Crisps. Learn to cut potato slices thin as paper.
Dress them with an artistic style on a plate to eat in the shop or in a bento box to take home.

Knife usage is required. We will guide you through safely.

Add-On Classes
All Add-ons are in the same class. It is to save your travelling time and make the class more fun. Please allow extra time, 30 minutes to 1 hour. You can always contact us before booking to find out more details.

If you would like to relax during the class, why not add some drinks at the same time? We have a wide selection of cocktails, both with alcohol or non-alcohol versions, bubble tea drinks, sake and classic tea to choose from. You can enjoy the drinks as well as learn the history behind them. Select them in the Add-On.

You can add Egg Fried Rice or Stir Fried Rice Cake if you want to make your Bento Box look more outstanding. Plus, you can learn more cooking skills in the same class.

If you want to learn more dishes in the same class, there are a few authentic dishes to select in the add-on as well. They will certainly make the experience more enjoyable and unforgettable.

You can also learn how to sharpen your kitchen knives. Bring one in if safe to do so.

At the end of this cooking class, you will have gained some useful cooking knowledge and you'll have made your own bento box to enjoy.

Gluten is in soy sauce and some mixed flour. Can be avoided on request. However, the final presentation and taste might be affected.

This class could be held online as well as at your venue. Please send us a message to discuss the details.

Please note:

For special dietary requirements, please get in touch after booking the class.
Please do not bring your own drinks or food to the class.
This class does not suitable to pregnant women and young children as the workloads and the length of the class.

Refund and Reschedule

Please book the date you definitely can attend to help other customers' bookings.
There is no refund for cancellation or absence.
Later than 15 minutes to agreed time will see booking cancelled with no refund or reschedule.
Possibility of Reschedule is very limited and will be charged £50 per booking.

Knowledge required

Beginners are welcome.
Children over 14 are welcome as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult. Everyone requires a ticket. Children learn better when parents participate.
Individuals under 18 cannot attend the class alone. We will ask for valid IDs if you appear very young. Your class will be cancelled without a refund if you fail to provide proof. This is for your safety and is required by our insurance policy. If we do not adhere to this policy, we will not be allowed to continue offering this class. Thank you for your understanding.
