Has an amazing time at the workshop. I loved the girl that was leading it, she was down to earth, kind and very helpful.
I loved the aspect that you can have a drink whilst you are doing the workshop. The setting is so relaxing and great place to just learn something new without so much pressure.

We had a great time at the candle making class at Art Play. Our instructor, Sophie, was really knowledgeable and let us have free reign of the scents and decorations for our candles. We made one candle in a glass jar and two candles in moulds.

Such a fun class! So many different scents to choose from, and cute flowers and accessories to decorate. Would defintely recommend to a friend (and already have!). Had the lovliest teacher too! Super helpful, clear step to step instructuions and super lovely!

I had a candle making workshop with a friend and it was lovely. We were provided with a lot of essential oils and dried flowers to decorate, and Aija explained to us in detail how to use middle, base and top scents to create our ultimate candle!
We were a small group so ended up talking a bit with each other as well, it was all in all a lovely evening, and so were the candles we made!

Last minute change of venue (1 am email the night before) but, was willing to go with it because life happens.
Unfortunately did not get much value other than the candle that had a sinkhole.
Pleasant and friendly instructor. Lovely jars. Nice and plentiful dried flowers to decorate with.
However, instructor was not prepared for the number of attendees. We book advance. Why wasn't she?
Expected more from the class - something about the different types of waxes and why soy wax. Information about blending the essential oils. We had no idea. Nothing about how wax cools and about that sink hole.

We went to Art Play for a candle making workshop for my friend's hen do. We managed to secure a private class for 8 of us which was lovely! The chosen activity was no more than 1.5hrs long but it was the right fit for our group and the location worked well, right in the heart of Spitalfields market (with lots of things to do around the area before and after). The studio was spacious, airy and with lots of natural light coming in. The instructor gave us a brief explanation about how to mix the essential oils which would form the scent to our candle and then we were allowed to explore and mix away. There was a variety of essential oils to choose from, as well as dried flowers and beads to use for decoration at the end. We were encouraged to wear aprons so as not to get messy, which was good. The workshop was relaxed (without too much pressure) in that we could chat freely whilst smelling and mixing essential oils, then decorating our candle jars. An added bonus was the fact that we were able to make a hot brew there, as well as bring our own fizz and snacks. At the end of the session, we came out with beautifully-looking-and-smelling candle jars and a mini candle each. A wonderful memento from the day of celebrations and a fantastic way to spend an afternoon! Thank you!

My friends and I came for our Galentines date and we had such a lovely time! Although we weren’t melting the wax ourselves, we got to mix all the scents and had so much fun creating the perfect blends of top middle and bottom notes! We also chose pretty decorations and enjoyed the process of pouring the wax, adding the scent and decorations. The class was a slow pace, so perfect for complete beginners and very relaxed - not one of those ones where you feel rushed. The results were beautiful and we really enjoyed the overall experience ❤️

The class was good, but unfortunately the fire alarm went off for nearly 40 minutes and it delayed the class and made the experience fairly unenjoyable. We had a dinner reservation for after that we ended up missing as it delayed the whole class and the whole evening. If there’s any way to get a refund, even a partial refund, it would be really appreciated for the inconvenience.
