The Advanced Mochi, sometimes also called Ice-skin Mooncake, is an on-trend dessert in Asia. It is developed from basic mochi and the traditional Mooncake but combines some modern Western dessert techniques to give it a new twist. It's now even more popular than the traditional Mochi and Mooncake in many festival celebrations. Of course, it's a luxury gift for special occasions, such as weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries.

Join expert Chinese cooking teachers, Hanna and Simon, in their spacious shop with air conditioning. Together, you will learn to make Advanced Mochi (or Ice-Skin Mooncakes) in small groups. If you book on a weekday, you might even get a private class.

In this class, you will:

Prepare the dough.
Prepare the fillings.
Learn to wrap and prepare them.
Taste your Advanced Mochis.

You can enjoy your finished advanced mochis in the class or take them home to share with friends and family. Bringing containers is a very good idea.

By the end of your Asian cooking classes, you'll have a host of new knowledge about Oriental desserts, and you'll have your delicious mochis to enjoy! Add-on Class
All Add-ons are in the same class. It is to save your time and make the class more fun. Please allow extra time, 30 minutes to 1 hour. You can always contact us before booking to find out more details.

Adding traditional tea tasting will make the mochis taste even better.
Add some unique bubble cocktail drinks to make the class more fun.

You can also add-on a normal mochi class. You can learn both in the same class. It will give you good learning progress if you haven't made mochi before.

This class could also be held online. Please send us a message if you want to book an online session.

Notice

Please do not bring your own drinks or food to the class.
This class is not suitable for pregnant women and young children due to the workload and the length of the class.

Refund and Reschedule

Please book the date you definitely can attend to help other customers' bookings.
There is no refund for cancellation.
Being later than 15 minutes before the agreed time will result in booking cancellation with no refund or reschedule.
The possibility of rescheduling is very limited and will be charged £50 per booking.

Knowledge required

Beginners are welcome.
Children over 14 are welcome and must be accompanied by at least one adult. All require valid tickets.
A person under 18 cannot attend the class alone. We will ask for valid IDs if you look very young. Your class will be cancelled without refund if you fail to provide proof. It is for your safety and is required by the insurance policy. If we don't follow this policy, the class will not be allowed to continue. Thank you for your understanding.
