This class kicks off with a 15-minute introduction, setting the stage for a hands-on journey into the world of pottery. Your teacher will guide you through a demonstration for crafting a mug using hand-building techniques. Then, the exciting part begins as you're encouraged to freestyle your own design.
Pon Studio has got you covered with all the materials and glazes you'll need throughout the course, including a generous 1kg of clay. If you're feeling extra inspired and want more clay to bring your larger mug dreams to life, additional clay can be purchased for just £6 per kilogram.
Learn valuable skills in pottery making including hand-building techniques, how to sculpt decorative elements and attach them to your mug along with handles.
Once your mug is dry, Pon Studio will fire it for you. It will have a second fire after adding colour and glaze. After that, it will be shipped to you. The whole process is included in the price and can take about two and a half weeks. You'll then be left with a food, microwave and dishwasher-safe mug that you can use every single day.
You can either opt for Pon studio to paint your mug in one colour before it's sent to you, or return to paint it yourself after the first firing. The choice is yours!
