Want to brighten up your tree this year with some handmade Christmas decorations? Discover a new DIY craft with this marbling class in London and create some gorgeous, unique ceramic baubles.

Marbling involves floating a rainbow of coloured inks on the surface of a water bath, creating beautiful shapes and patterns that you can then transfer to paper, ceramics or fabric.

You'll learn this relaxing, satisfying art from a local creative, who'll teach you a variety of different marbling techniques from Japanese suminagashi to Ebru marbling from Turkey.

After some fun demonstrations, you'll have the opportunity to try this mesmerising craft for yourself as you mix your own colours before dipping your baubles to make some one-of-a-kind colourful ornaments you can use year after year.

Don't worry if you've never tried any kind of art before, as your friendly, knowledgeable teacher will be behind you every step of the way to offer a helping hand. Plus, the beauty of marbling is that you're never quite sure how the pattern is going to turn out — so just go with the flow!

Recess Living creative workshops are available to be held in your office, co-working space or party venues across the UK.
Please ensure your venue has the following:

Seating either boardroom style or bistro-style for all workshop attendees.
1 x demonstration table.
Access to your event space 45 -60 minutes prior to the workshop start time.
Please allow up to 30mins to de-rig.
