What you'll do
Azulejos tiles are a unique type of tile decoration that is deeply intertwined with Portuguese culture. You can find them everywhere: from shops to private homes, palaces, churches, train stations, and countless other places.You will be supported by a friendly experienced tutor from Art4Space in this ceramic painting class in London. They will guide you through the experience. You will explore colour, texture, and pattern by applying paint on glazes to a bisque ware tile. Stencil and paint your way to beautiful, glazed ceramic tile.You will create one finished ceramic tile. Once fired, the results are stunning! You will receive your posted creation within a month. Imagine the magical moment when you open your box to reveal the results!Art4Space is a stunning community arts centre, which is an inclusive, supportive, respectful, welcoming, and safe space for everyone.You are welcome to come up with your own ideas during the mindful 2.5 hours of painting with the full support of an experienced tutor to help you realise your creative design ideas. The session is beginner-friendly, so no experience is necessary.Proceeds go towards our community art projects, providing vulnerable individuals with mental health support in deprived areas in Lambeth, London.For private bookings; come to us (maximum 32), or we can come to your venue/premises; any size parties and ideal for corporate team building, or sustainable business events. We don’t have a maximum number, depending on your event/venue capacity.It is £54 per person for private bookings for 2-2.5 hour workshop plus travel expenses. We are flexible with timing: day, evening, or weekend - according to availability.If you are a registered charity, we can offer discounts for group bookings.If you want to book this for a young person (12 years+) or come together, please speak to us - we are happy to help.

Knowledge required
This class is for all levels, it is an adult class for age 16+ (Younger people can join if with an adult. We recommend it is suitable for over 14’s with an adult)
What you'll get
- Professional tools and materials. Aprons are provided. Glaze, firing, and postage are all included in the ticket cost.
- Refreshments, including a glass of wine or bottle of beer if desired, unlimited tea and coffee, soft drinks, and nibbles.
- Your finished painted and fired ceramic tile will be carefully wrapped and posted to you within one month. The postage box is 180 x 220 x 80 cm.
