2 hours Class size 1 to 6 guests       £55 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Pottery classes in central London : In this hands-on pottery workshop in Waterloo London, you'll learn how to hand-build your very own unique coffee cup using clay. Over the course of two hours, you'll craft a personalised mug that you can use and treasure for years to come.
If you've never worked with clay before, don't worry - this class is suitable for all skill levels. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you'll discover how satisfying it can be to shape and form your own creation from a simple lump of clay.
During the session, you'll
  • Use hand-building techniques to form your mug
  • Add personal touches like handles, textures, and design elements
  • Decorate your cup with underglazes provided in the workshop
As you work with the clay, you might find yourself pleasantly absorbed in the tactile process, enjoying the feel of the material in your hands as your mug takes shape.
By the end of the class, you'll have completed your unique coffee cup, ready for glazing and firing. You'll leave your masterpiece with us for this final process, and in just three weeks, you'll be able to collect your finished mug - or have it posted to you for an additional £10.
This enriching experience will not only teach you a new skill but also provide you with a one-of-a-kind mug to enjoy your favourite hot beverage in. It's a chance to step away from mass-produced items and create something truly personal - a little piece of art for your daily routine.
Note : Except the beige colour black splashed mug, the other images are from our students.

Doppiocotto was founded in 2013 by Bora Cetin, a ceramic artist deeply passionate about his craft, dedicating long hours to shaping each piece by hand.
Focusing on form and material, Doppiocotto produces modern, original, and finely crafted pieces. The brand explores the harmony of contrasts by adding movement to simple forms and stillness to dynamic shapes, incorporating a playful touch to bring joy to people’s everyday lives.
The story behind the brand name comes from the Italian word 'Doppiocotto' which means 'double-cooked', linked with the production process.
The clay goes through two firing processes. After the shaping phase comes the drying and baking phase. This is called biscuit. Then the glaze is applied on it and it is fired again. This is how the finished product is reached.
