Looking for craft classes in London that will help you pick up a new skill? Get your hands messy with homemade clay at this beginner-friendly pottery workshop!

Guided by a professional pottery artist, Suzan, this class will begin with an introduction to the materials, processes, and basic techniques of wheel throwing. Your teacher will provide a quick demonstration so you can see exactly how the craft is performed before handing things over to you to begin molding and shaping your clay.

With a maximum class size of two students, Suzan will be on hand to provide plenty of one-to-one support and answer any questions you may have. Looking for things to do in London with kids? Bring your little ones along and play with clay together! Swap screens with a creative and interactive hobby all while enjoying some quality family time.

By the end of the class, you will have created a beautiful selection of pots and get to choose your favourite piece to be glazed by Suzan, ready to collect at a later date and display at home!

Please note:
Your final pieces will be ready to pick up around three weeks after your class. You will be contacted via email or text when your work is ready. Alternatively, your work can be delivered to you for an additional fee of £6.

Suzan fell in love with clay in her early teens in Turkey but didn't have the chance to get her hands dirty until after she came to London and enrolled on a part-time course in 2004. After finishing her BTEC certification classes in Kensington and Chelsea college Suzan practised her pottery in a studio share in Kilburn.

In 2017 Suzan finally opened her own studio in Plaistow where she designs and creates all of her own work which is inspired by her mixed family background, travels and love for natural objects. Her homeware collection offers a handcrafted alternative to daily life otherwise filled with mass-produced items.
