What you'll do
Join us at the studio for an immersive 2-day pottery workshop. Learn to throw on the wheel and create a one of a kind handmade mug made from beginning to end by you!
You will be led by one of our fabulous Columbia Road Clay Teaching Artists who will guide you through the two day process, first throwing on the wheel then returning to trim, add a handle and finally apply a clay slip surface decoration. This is a perfect opportunity for those who really want to dig into the ceramic process and come away with a lovely keepsake (or two)!
As this pottery class is for small groups (with a maximum of four people), you are guaranteed to get all the individual attention you need to help you progress — so don't worry if this is your first time getting behind the potter's wheel!
At the end of this pottery class, you'll have your own clay creation to keep, some cool new wheel throwing skills and lastly, a newfound addiction to pottery making!

Workshops are 2-hour classes held both Saturday and Sunday. Please be sure you can attend both days at your selected time as we are unable to reschedule missed sessions.

No prior knowledge or experience needed!Complete beginners are perfect.
What to bring

We'll be using our hands to sculpt the clay on the wheel! Shorter nails definitely helps with this but feel free to come as you are. All are welcome!
