How do you make a good Christmas party?

Step 1: Choose a Unique, Creative Activity

• Pick a fun, interactive experience like wreath making, festive floristry, paint and sip, or cocktail making. Whether in-person or virtual, these creative activities will make your party stand out and bring people together. Plus, including an activity in your Christmas party is also a great way to break the ice and encourage bonding.

Step 2: Focus on Togetherness

• The key to a great party is spending quality time with loved ones. These activities are perfect for sharing laughs, trying something new, and creating lasting memories, whether in person or online.

Step 3: Set the Festive Mood

• Decorate your space, serve some festive treats, and play Christmas music to create a cosy, joyful atmosphere. You could also provide small keepsakes or favours related to the activity for a special touch.

Did you know you’re just a few clicks away from hosting an unforgettable Christmas function with us? Whether you plan on hosting your party at one of our teachers’ venues or at your own office, simply pick your activity and we’ll take care of the rest. Look for classes marked ‘Mobile’ if you’d like the teacher to come to you with all the materials. Choose from wreath making, festive floristry, paint and sip sessions, cocktail making, glass art, watercolour painting...the list goes on!

How do I choose the right theme for my Christmas do?

The right theme for your Christmas party sets the festive ambience. Start by considering the interests and preferences of your guests, as this will make sure they can fully relax and feel comfortable and merry. Explore various themes of Christmas parties; traditional, modern, or perhaps a mix? There's no limit to creativity - think 'Winter Wonderland', 'The Nutcracker', or 'A Dickensian Christmas'. Next, weave your food and beverage concepts into your chosen theme for a harmonious experience. Whether it's mulled wine with mince pies for an old-fashioned English soiree, eggnog and gingerbread cookies for a cosy home gathering or greenery wreaths and festive bakes for a Scandi vibe – there's something for everyone! Remember, your party should be a reflection of you whilst embracing all the magic that the season brings.

With a fun activity booked for your Christmas work do, there's not necessarily a need for a theme. Your group are sure to love breaking the ice together with a fun craft like candle making for example. It'll bring you together and help get the party started.

Affordable Christmas party ideas from £15 a head

A memorable Christmas do doesn’t have to blow the budget. Plenty of festive party activities cost less than a round of drinks per person:

• Unguided free flow painting suits groups who want to relax. Canvases, paints and space are provided, so everyone paints whatever they like.
• A sip and cross stitch class is a calm, chatty choice. Bring a bottle and stitch a small design while you catch up.
• Hand-building pottery needs no wheel experience. Shape a dish or a decoration from clay, ready to be fired and collected.
• A virtual chocolate tasting works for remote teams. A tasting kit is posted to each guest before the live session.

Booking a private session for a bigger group can bring the price per head down further, so it’s worth comparing options for your team size.

Can the teacher come to our office for a Christmas party?

Yes, many of our teachers run mobile classes and bring all the materials to your office or venue. Look for ‘Mobile’ on the class listing.

How many people can join a Christmas party workshop?

Group sizes vary by class. Many suit smaller teams, while some mobile and virtual classes, such as perfume making or online candle making, can host much larger groups.

Can we have a virtual Christmas party?

Yes. Virtual classes post a kit to each guest and run the session over a live stream, which suits remote teams and families spread across the country.
