Fun Christmas party ideas in Manchester
From fun and festive team building activities for large groups to cosy DIY Christmas crafts for annual family get-togethers, whatever you’re planning, we’ve got something that will put the jingle bells back in everybody’s step.
Want to know the best part? It’s never been easier to book a Christmas party activity in Manchester! Whether you’re looking to venture out to a city centre venue or would prefer to stay local in your area of Chorlton, Stockport or Salford, our easy-to-use booking system means you can select a time and place that’s convenient for you. So, you can focus on the good stuff, like enjoying a cosy pottery painting session or learning how to make truffles to give as gifts for loved ones!
As our Christmas party activities are designed for groups of all shapes, sizes and abilities and are led by friendly and passionate teachers, anyone and everyone can rock up and have a merry old time! That means there’s no need to be a pottery pro to take on a wheel throwing class or a top chef to stir up a storm at a roast dinner cooking class — just come as you are and enjoy kicking back, relaxing and soaking up the holiday spirit!
How to throw an incredible Christmas party in Manchester
Whether you treat your team to a day of pottery making or your friends to an evening of cocktail shaking, you can bank on a whole load of festive fun. From wreath making workshops, seasonal soy candle making classes to Christmas calligraphy workshops, there are so many ways to get into the yuletide spirit with your friends, family and co-workers by your side.
When you and your Santa squad arrive, your friendly teacher will be ready and waiting to give you an introduction to the activity at hand — whether that’s showing you how to make eggnog inspired cocktails or Christmas-tree-shaped chocolate. After your entertaining demo and perhaps a welcome drink or nibble, it’ll be time for you and your gang to get making (whatever it is that you’re making). Your teacher will be there every step of the way to spread Christmas cheer and of course, offer a helping hand to those who want one. When it comes to Christmas party ideas in Manchester, opting for a creative activity is an excellent choice (if we do say so ourselves!) as it acts as a wonderful group icebreaker and is sure to get the ball rolling towards fun and festivities.
So sit back, relax and enjoy the jolly atmosphere as you take the opportunity to recharge and reconnect with those around you. Top tips for planning the perfect Manchester Christmas do
Organising a Christmas celebration can feel like a huge task, but it doesn't have to be a stressful one! The key is to think outside the gift box. Here are our top five tips for planning a memorable and merry get-together in Manchester.
-
Choose a vibe, not just a venue. Instead of a generic dinner, decide on the atmosphere you want to create. Are you aiming for a cosy and crafty afternoon or a high-energy, boozy bash? A theme like 'Winter Crafts & Cocktails' or a 'Festive Foodie Fiesta' can guide all your other choices and get everyone excited.
-
Make it a hands-on experience. The most talked-about parties are those where people create something together. Instead of just gathering in a pub, book a festive workshop! Our Manchester Christmas party ideas, from wreath making to pottery throwing, are fantastic icebreakers that ensure everyone gets involved and leaves with a unique memento of the day.
-
Simplify the festive feast. Great food is essential, but it doesn't need to be a formal three-course meal. Consider booking a cooking class where you make your own festive treats, or arrange for simple platters and nibbles to accompany a creative activity like a paint and sip session. This keeps the atmosphere relaxed and encourages mingling.
-
Curate the perfect Christmas playlist. Don't underestimate the power of music to set the mood! Create a shared playlist and ask your guests to add their favourite festive classics and party anthems in advance. It’s a simple touch that makes the event feel more personal and guarantees a great atmosphere.
-
Organise a 'make your own' Secret Santa. Put a unique spin on the classic gift exchange. Instead of buying a gift, why not book a workshop where everyone makes their Secret Santa present? Imagine the fun of exchanging hand-poured candles or custom-made pieces of jewellery. It’s a wonderful way to ensure every gift is thoughtful and personal.
