What you'll do

Treat your sweet tooth to this decadently delicious chocolate making class in Gloucestershire.

Using melted milk, white and dark Callebaut Belgium chocolate gallettes and a range of ingredients, you will learn how to create a range of chocolates using silicone moulds, filled chocolates, lollies, florentines and rolling truffles — this class truly is a chocolate lovers dream!

Your talented teacher will guide you through a number of demonstrations and explanations and will discuss microwave tempering and how a cocoa bean becomes chocolate.

Then, it will be time for you to let loose to use your imagination, and the techniques learnt to make your chocolatey dreams come true.

At the end of this class, you'll head home with your handmade chocolate creations in a beautiful presentation box and bag tied — alternatively, you could just eat them there and then (after all, who can blame you when they're that delicious!).

Harts Barn Cookery School is all about cooking for all – all ages and skill levels are catered for, and we teach everything from banquets to basics!

We provide a huge range of regular classes, workshops, supper clubs and events plus we welcome group bookings, parties, corporate and private hire. All classes offer a hands-on element and focus on gaining practical skills and knowledge as well as being enjoyable!

We view cooking as an essential life skill. Our ethos of ‘cooking for all’ means that we offer classes that are accessible, practical, affordable, give confidence and are lots of fun. We believe in the ‘socialisation’ of food, bringing people together whether they are learning a new skill in the kitchen or sitting down and enjoying the soiree! As well as cookery classes we run regular events, pop up restaurants, a Hire-A-Chef service, and provide parties, corporate packages, chef demos and have a wonderful earth oven, fire pit and large courtyard area for outdoor cooking experiences.
