In this intensive art course, you will:

Learn or get a refresher on the basics of pencil and charcoal drawing skills.
Experiment with colour by creating still life with pastel and watercolour painting.
Start a sketchbook filled with people, buildings and city scenes through observation.
Use portrait and life drawing to improve your observation skills.
Build your confidence in your artistic skills and master various mediums

Course schedule:

Day one: The first day is all about basics. You will focus on pencil, charcoal and graphite drawing techniques. Whether this is your first time learning these skills or it's a refresher, this is a fun start to the course.
Day two: Develop your drawing skills by exploring light, shade and tone to make objects appear three-dimensional. Delve into essential techniques like perspective and more to prepare you for venturing outdoors for sketching.
Day three: Step out into the vibrant London atmosphere (weather permitting) to observe and draw what's around you. Fill your sketchbook with people, food, buildings and more. Throughout the day you will be creating a travel journal and personal storyboard of the area. There will be an optional visit to one of the terrific art materials shops nearby.
Day four: On day four, you'll further strengthen your observational skills, starting with a self-portrait exercise. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the artistry of life drawing.
Day five: On the final day, fuse all the skills you've cultivated during the week to craft a drawing, painting, or collage. Cap off your artistic journey with an evening exhibition showcasing the masterpieces you've created. Join us for a celebration where your friends and family can admire and appreciate your remarkable work on display.
