What you'll do

This photography class in London is ideal for portrait photographers of all abilities. If you're keen to improve and develop your portrait photography skills, this workshop is a great option.

Guided by an experienced photography tutor, you'll learn to unleash the potential of your flashgun off camera on location, with the use of a model.

Your photography workshop involves outdoor and indoor practical exercises. In a hands-on and creative environment, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to work with your camera's settings to create great shots.

This photography class in London covers:

An introduction to the speedlite – features will be explained in depth including power, settings, capacity, and exposure modes.
Brands and models – take a look at different types of speedlites and flashguns.
Technical aspects – get to grips with your camera settings in-depth, including the light meter and metering modes.
Speedlite accessories – learn about a variety of accessories including shapers, modifiers, triggers and stands.
Working with a model – develop the skills needed such as composition, posing, communication and direction.
Lighting techniques and styles – explore the different setups in speedlite photography including low key and high key.

This class is limited to small groups so you can learn in a fast-paced setting and gain confidence with plenty of support along the way. Once you’ve mastered one speedlite, you’ll be able to move on to two and even three or more, to create dramatic images worthy of a professional portfolio.
