What you'll do
Looking for creative things to do in London? Whether you like Manga, Maus or Marvel, this art class will help you dip your toes into the world of drawing your own comics and graphic novels in a supportive environment. You'll experiment with different techniques that will build confidence to help your produce your own simple comic material.
You'll start off by sketching unique characters and learn how to use panels and page layouts to create a comic narrative sequence. All the art supplies you need will be provided, from pencils, pens, paper and template sheets that will help you tell your story and create a mini-comic all of your own.
Explore techniques that will help you make your characters consistent and show off their personalities all at once. You'll draw intriguing panels that reflect the timing and actions in the simple narrative you've written. There will be plenty of individual exercises that will help you come up with ideas and expand your skills.
Guiding you at every step is a talented teacher that will share their knowledge of designing characters and telling stories, give you plenty of personal feedback and be a brilliant sounding board for your ideas. This drawing workshop is the perfect place for beginners to jump into this art form for the first time and improvers to get more experience.
By the end of this comic drawing class, you will leave with a mini-comic hand-drawn and created by you!
