Want to add a new technique to your photography skillset? Come along to this fun and friendly long exposure photography class and learn how to snap unique and interesting shots of iconic locations across London's Southbank. 
During this walking photography class, you will learn fundamental tips and tricks for taking breathtaking long exposure photographs that are sure to add something different to your portfolio. As this friendly and inclusive class is taught in a small group,  you’ll receive plenty of individual attention and feedback.
During this photography class, you will learn:
  • Filters, accessories, and equipment –  you will discover how to use ND, ND graduated and colour filters to achieve interesting effects. You will also experience using a remote shutter releaser.
  • Calculating shutter speeds – learn how to correctly expose your images for long periods of time in bright light.
  • Extra long exposure times (shutter speeds) – how to achieve eye-catching motion blur effects of clouds and water.
  • Focusing – how to achieve sharp images while using these techniques. 
  • Subjects – what kind of photography is the long exposure technique suited to? During the class, you will learn how to put this into practice with cityscape, architecture and urban photography. 
  • Composition – practice the techniques required to achieve balanced components in the frame. 
By the end of this London photography class, you will have taken plenty of stunning long exposure shots to add to your portfolio and will walk away with the skills and know-how to take more and master the art of long exposure. 
Age Requirement: 18+


Knowledge required
A good understanding of basic exposure and your camera’s manual settings is advised.
