Are you ready to take your sketching skills to the next level? Come and feel the joy of drawing in our welcoming art studio in the heart of London for a rewarding experience capturing the human form in motion through art supplies.
Throughout history, artists have used the human figure to convey powerful emotions and tell rich visual stories. Now, it's your turn to learn these time-honoured techniques and elevate your art to new heights.
With plenty of support and guidance from a team of skilled artists, you'll learn to create dynamic and visually compelling sketches that truly capture the essence of movement. Using the inspiration of Artists such as Degas, you will be learning how to capture movement from a live dancer. 
Over three drawing classes, you will dive into a multitude of approaches for presenting motion, gesture, and movement within your drawings, focusing on form and structure and developing your drawing techniques.
In this drawing course, you will:
  • Learn and practise correct proportions.
  • Work on observation drawing.
  • Practise various marks with pencil and charcoal creating movement quickly.
  • Understand structure and mass within the figure and how we can use this within our drawings.
  • Learning how to capture gestures, and with it, movement with our figurative drawings.
  • Expand your knowledge of classically inspired figurative drawing.
  • Dive into expressive mark making presenting form and movement in a number of different techniques.
  • Practise using gesture, movement and form to present a visual narrative.
  • Using visual understanding of form, to be able to compose drawings from imagination.
Age Requirement: 18+

Knowledge required
Beginners and above. Some experience with drawing is recommended

This class series runs over 3 consecutive sessions, at the same time every week.
