What you'll do
Gain the confidence to produce the images you’ve always imagined. Whether you’re sprucing up your social media feed or you want to capture your holidays just as you remember them for top-notch photo albums, this photography course will guide you through getting the most out of your DSLR or mirrorless camera.
With an experienced teacher at your side, you will cover a range of genres and discover new techniques and styles to inspire your artistic eye. You’ll expand your knowledge of digital photography which will allow you to develop your personal style as a photographer and gain further creativity with the images you capture.
You’ll pick up loads of new tips and tricks for using the settings and features of your camera with hands-on experience. There is some classroom-based learning in our welcoming photography studio and you’ll also be visiting some London attractions to practice your new skills.
During these two London photography classes, you will:
- Strengthen your understanding of the manual functions on your camera to help you get a handle on it.
- Pick up tips on focal length, lens choice, focus points, f/stops and depth of field.
- Learn how to change exposure using ISO, aperture and shutter speeds.
- Gain insight into setting white balance.
- Learn how to capture motion.
- Understand file formats (JPEG vs RAW).
- Learn about manual, semi-automatic, and auto-focus modes.
- Pick up some composition techniques.
- Get an introduction to flash photography.
