During this photography class, you will learn about:

What macro photography is – during this class, you will learn the difference between macro photography and close-up photography.
Magnification – ratios and life-size measurements explained in depth.
What equipment you will need and why.
Lighting techniques and accessories – explore different macro lighting techniques and discover a range of accessories (reflectors, shapers, diffusers etc).
Camera settings – you will learn how to harness the true potential of your camera with a detailed description and demonstration of camera settings in manual and semi-manual mode.
Composition – how to highlight the subject and other compositional elements in macro photography.

This photography course is split between theoretical and practical sessions to ensure you develop a deeper understanding of macro photography. As the class size is kept small, you're sure to have plenty of one-to-one attention from your encouraging teacher, which will also ensure you walk away from the photography class confident in your newfound skills and techniques.

What to bring

This course requires a digital DSLR or mirrorless camera with full manual controls. If you do not have access to either of these, your teacher can provide you with a DSLR camera.
