What you'll do
Discover the secrets of the Mediterranean cuisine in this cooking class in Edinburgh. You will learn how to prepare delicious dishes with fresh ingredients and authentic flavours, and you'll share the fruits of your labour with your fellow budding chefs.
This workshop is ideal for anyone who loves to cook and try new recipes, or if you fancy recreating your favourite Mediterranean holiday from the comfort of your kitchen. Whether you are looking for a fun date idea, a birthday treat, or a team building activity, this class will help you meet new people and share a memorable experience with your nearest and dearest.
The class will start with a deft demonstration by your talented host, who will show you how to make four delicious dishes from different regions of the Mediterranean. You'll then get to work in pairs or small groups as you create your menu, using quality ingredients and equipment, with plenty of guidance given by your host, who'll give you plenty of guidance and inspiration as you create your own versions of the dishes.
Menu (subject to availability):
- Spanish meatball and butterbean stew
- Lamb, apricot, and chickpea stew with Fattoush and pita bread
- Lebanese rice and vermicelli pilaf
- Tiramisu
By the end of the class, you will have gained plenty of new skills and confidence in the kitchen. You'll also gain some important insight into the Mediterranean diet and its benefits. Most importantly, you'll leave with a full stomach, plenty of leftovers and a huge smile on your face.

ESFW opened our doors in 1986, in the tranquil Newliston Estate near Edinburgh. We have been teaching all aspects of cookery throughout this time and have won many awards, most recently the Cookery School of the Year in November 2020.
We cover a wide range of courses, covering every age and ability.
