You'll start your cooking workshop with coffee and tea as you watch the captivating demonstration led by your supportive chef and teacher. Here you'll be introduced to some cooking techniques and recipes from this iconic cuisine.
Throughout the day, you'll be transported to different regions of Mexico, each with its own distinctive culinary heritage. From the sun-drenched shores of Baja California to the captivating flavours of Michoacán, you'll learn to prepare authentic dishes that celebrate the diversity of this vibrant country.
In this class, you will learn how to cook with a range of dried chillies, salsas, masa, and spices, as they come together to create the remarkable freshness and complexity that define Mexican cuisine.
Savour some of your delicious dishes at lunch with a glass of wine or beer. The rest, you can take home and share with your loved ones. Or why not bring them along if you're on the hunt for fun things to do in Edinburgh with your pals? This teacher can offer private classes.

- Ceviche de Pescado con Chile Guajillo (white fish ceviche with red chiles)

- The recipes made in this class contain gluten, eggs and dairy and are not suitable for vegetarians or vegans (please note this list is not exhaustive).
- Please let us know of any dietary requirements, allergies or special accommodations required at the time of booking. We will be as flexible as possible when we can, so as to be inclusive to all students but we may not be able to substitute ingredients in the recipes.
- We do everything we can to reduce the risk of cross-contamination, however, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment and therefore our kitchens may be unsuitable for students with severe or life-threatening allergies.
Please note:
- Our one-day workshops and short courses are 16+ unless otherwise specified. Children aged 14 or 15 may attend with an adult over 18.
- On the day, please arrive 15 minutes before your workshop is due to start.
- All ingredients and equipment needed to make your Mexican lunch to enjoy with a glass of wine or beer.
