She was so calm, encouraging, knowledgeable and accommodating. She adapted the activity for my elderly mother in law and was so kind. We each threw three small pots and were delighted with our creations! It was so relaxing and grounding. I had the class as a birthday gift ans I love watching Pottery Throwdown on TV and the process of booking was simple. Communication with the teacher was excellent and she was so helpful when discussing disabled parking and access. I highly recommend this if you want to try throwing on the wheel. Great fun! + more

Gifts and Presents for Mum Edinburgh
Why Edinburgh experience vouchers make perfect gift ideas for Mum
If you’re looking for the perfect present to show mum how much she means to you, look no further than our collection of gift experiences for mum in Edinburgh! From floristry classes and cooking workshops to wine tasting experiences and pottery painting sessions – our creative classes are the best way to help her discover a new hobby and enjoy some quality time with loved ones at the same time. From woodworking to weaving, cake decorating to chocolate making and photo taking, let Mum switch off from daily life and immerse herself in a brand new hobby.
Is she a crafty soul with untapped artistic talent? Let her unleash her inner Picasso at a watercolour painting workshop, create a cupboard full of ceramics at a pottery class or master those macrame knots and whip up a DIY plant hanger with a fun textile course. Perhaps she’s more interested in getting creative in the kitchen? Take her on a global taste tour instead and let her learn how to make traditional Italian pizza, spice things up with an Indian cooking class or bake it ‘til she makes it with a cake decorating workshop. Whatever she’s interested in, whether she’s a creative novice or a crafty wizard, we’ll help you show her just how much you care this 2026.
Unique experience gifts that will put a smile on her face
Edinburgh is an amazing city filled with unique experiences to share with your mum, whether you’re celebrating Mother’s Day, looking for a birthday gift for her or you just want to let her know how much you appreciate her. Whether she loves being outdoors or prefers to stay inside and get creative, our range of experience gifts in Edinburgh has something for everyone. From cosy indoor baking courses, craft classes and foodie workshops to wine tastings, gin distillery tours and street photography sessions that will take her on a trip round the city, there are plenty of activities for you both to enjoy together.
If your mum loves getting creative, why not surprise her with a pottery class or a paper craft workshop? She can learn how to make a scrapbook, craft beautiful decorations from recycled materials or create her very own homemade clay masterpiece with the help of an experienced potter. Or if cooking is more her thing, she can bond with her friends over a delicious cake decorating class before taking home a few cupcakes as a tasty reminder of the day.
Scotland’s capital is one of the UK's most beautiful cities, with a wealth of unique activities to experience and share with your mum. Whether you're looking for something special to do as a family or you want to help your Mum create some wonderful memories, our unique experience gifts in Edinburgh have something for everyone.
Unforgettable gift experiences for Mum in Edinburgh that will make her heart sing
Whether you’re trying to get festive and give your Mum the best Christmas surprise ever, or you want to surprise her with a birthday gift she’ll never forget, our range of gift experiences for Mum will beat the same old shop bought presents hands down!
If you usually opt for flowers for your nature loving Mum, think outside the box and send her off to a floristry workshop where she’ll learn the art of flower arranging and come away with plenty of skills, wonderful memories and a flower bouquet to brighten up her home. Perhaps she’s got a sweet tooth and you usually surprise her with chocolates? Go the extra mile and sign the two of you up for a chocolate making class where you’ll both spend a cosy afternoon chocolate tasting and learning how to make truffles.
From craft workshops where she could learn the art of delicate embroidery stitches, find out how to knit or crochet a snuggly blanket or brush up on her brushstrokes with a fun sip and paint session, to mouth watering foodie Edinburgh experiences which will take her on a taste tour around the world, there really is something for every marvellous Mum who deserves a special surprise.
