Get ready for Easter with this fun, interactive baking class in Leeds where you and your little one will learn how to make traditional Easter bakes such as hot cross buns.
You and your child will take home everything you bake to enjoy over the Easter weekend!
Choose from one adult with either one or two children from the ticket type options. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
During your Easter baking class, you and your child will learn:
  • How to make an enriched dough which is the basis of many sweet bakes. 
  • How to knead, prove, shape and bake two types of Easter bun. 
  • How to pipe and decorate buns. 
You'll bake:
  • Hot cross buns.
  • Semlor buns (traditional Swedish fat Tuesday buns).
You'll take away the recipes you use so you can use your new knowledge to make these delicious Easter buns again at home.
There is a tasting session after each class where you and the little ones will have the chance to sample your tutor’s version of each bake.

Please note:
This class uses induction hobs. If you have a pacemaker fitted you will need to email the teacher so the class can be adapted.

Across our range of classes, courses and events at Leeds Cookery School our teachers promote and talk about seasonal ingredients, local sourcing and the importance of eating ethically and sustainably. Our ingredients are sourced from Yorkshire and are sustainable wherever possible and we always use free-range eggs. We order small quantities to minimise wastage and always consider the food miles travelled by our ingredients.
As well as donating profits to Zest, Leeds Cookery School has committed to running affordable cooking activities throughout the year, in partnership with Jamie’s Ministry of Food Leeds and Zest’s Community Development Team. These sessions enable low-income families and vulnerable people to access basic cookery skills and cookery clubs that address social isolation.
