Recent reviews of Chocolate Truffle Making Class

  • 4/5 from Marion Nettleton, attended Sep 2026: Teacher was very friendly, nice relaxed atmosphere. Simple process but came home with a good amount of chocolates. Might have been nice to have more options for flavouring/coatings as not everyone likes coconut. Especially as you make so many chocolates, would be good to have more variety. Choice doesn’t need to be huge, but a couple of flavours of truffle and an alternative coating might be good.
  • 5/5 from Katharine White, attended Aug 2026: Very welcoming teacher who was concerned about my parking issues. Easy to follow instructions. Lots of fun making the chocolates. I really liked mucking in. Interesting information about chocolate shared as well.
  • 5/5 from Michelle Leath, attended Aug 2026: I would definitely recommend the chocolate truffle class, it was really fun and very interesting finding out about chocolate. No experience needed. A must for choc-o-holics. Louise was very good and knew a lot about chocolate.
  • 5/5 from Maihvish Iqbal, attended May 2026: Cute little chocolate truffle making workshop. Went with my mum and really enjoyed the class! Louise was very knowledgeable and friendly. Will be re-making some truffles at home soon!
  • 5/5 from Helen Robinson, attended Apr 2026: I went with my sister as a birthday event. The teacher was informative and helpful. We had a really good laugh and came away with some super truffles. My attempts were not saleable in a shop, other than in the ‘wonky’ department but tasted wonderful. Everyone back at home has been wolfing them down. Super fun, I’d do it again with a different relatives.
  • 5/5 from Ruth Allen, attended Feb 2026: Fantastic workshop for beginners. Friendly, helpful tutor. Informative and relaxed. Really enjoyed the workshop, would highly recommend.
  • 5/5 from Emily Mary Pearson, attended Jan 2026: Very easy to use gift card
  • 5/5 from Geraldine Stone, attended Sep 2025: Me and my mum went. Would very much recommend. Lovely lady talks about chocolate where, what, why and when. Was fun making the chocolate truffles and was very surprised on how much we took home.
  • 5/5 from Luke Horsfield, attended Jun 2025: It was a good balance of doing the activity and learning about the process of chocolate making. Don't take chocolate for granted!
  • 5/5 from Sharron Wem, attended May 2025: I was bought this as a birthday gift. I had a great time. Lovely group of people and a great teacher. Everything was explained step by step and some very interesting facts about chocolate. I came away with 3 bags of beautiful truffles approx 7 in each bag.
  • 5/5 from Jane Annakin, attended Mar 2025: Fabulous class! Lovely background to chocolate making. Instructions were very clear and had lots of fun making them!!
  • 4/5 from Liz Scott, attended Mar 2025: Had a good time with friends. Something different.
  • 3/5 from Maggie Kupczak, attended Mar 2025: A bit disappointed that we did not have a chance to melt the chocolate and participate in the whole process. But overall it was a nice experience.
  • 2/5 from Renata Acs-Bali, attended Mar 2025: The teacher was kind and welcoming. We were a party of 3 but had chocolate enough for 4 which I think was generous. The setting was comfortable (hotel conference room). The people we shared our table with were very friendly and we had a good chat. The class did not really meet my expectations as it was a very basic class, perfect for primary school aged children but it was advertised for adults or basically for anyone. All we had to do was to mix the cream in some already melted choclate, make balls and then coat them again in pre melted chocolate. I wish there had been more verstaile chocolate coatings or flavours at least so that we could have experimented with things we would not normally do at home. A lot of ideas have been mentioned but then only dessicated coconut was provided. I feel that for the price the class could have been more professional/fun/versatile.
  • 5/5 from Stella Valery, attended Feb 2025: Louise our teacher was great and explained everything step by step. The class size was just right and not too overcrowded. I especially liked the mixing of the chocolate and cream until it became quite stiff and able to roll into small round balls, it was then covered in melted chocolate and covered with coconut. The little gift size bags and coloured ribbon finished it off perfectly, making it a perfect gift.
  • 5/5 from Karen Elizabeth Bartliff, attended Aug 2024: The workshop was a birthday treat from my brother as he knows I like baking. Although I was on my own I felt part of the group. The chocolatier explained each stage, showing us what to do and didn't hurry us. She gave us ideas for different flavours as well. Who knew it was so easy to make delicious chocolate truffles. Thank you.

Chocolate Collective was born after the founder, Louise Attenborough, searched high and low for someone to teach chocolate making at her daughter's birthday party. Noticing a gap in the market, Louise seized the moment and Chocolate Collective began its journey!
Although Louise never really liked chocolate growing up (which may be a surprise to you!), today, her knowledge, skill and passion for all things choco-licious is undeniable and surpassed only by her love of teaching others. Nothing gives Louise greater joy than teaching others and seeing them delight in their creations.
Come along and discover the wonders of this chocolate with Louise!
