What you'll do
Discover the art of bookbinding at The Severn Studio. Nestled in the beautiful Shropshire Hills, this warm and welcoming environment is the perfect place to learn how to bind a book by hand and get creative with alternative structures and styles.
Make your own sketchbooks, journals, and books using traditional materials and techniques. You'll learn how to cut and stitch pages and create a hardback cover with canvas, resulting in a gorgeous hardback book.
If there is enough time, you'll also have the opportunity to create a larger version or explore another technique.
Start your bookbinding journey here and unleash your creativity in this rewarding and satisfying craft!
Please note: If you are a group of 2-4, your class will be held in the lovely Severn Studio. If in a group of 5-20, you'll be in a larger studio close by.

I first learnt to crochet as a child and spent hours and hours making, sewing, knitting and learning every new technique possible in art, craft and design. After a degree in graphics and 16 years of experience teaching Textiles, Graphics, Art & Design and Design & Technology, I strongly believe in developing my own practice to be the best tutor I can be. I am continually inspired by my students of all ages, so it's definitely a two-way street!
