What you'll do
Discover the joys of polymer clay with this fun and colourful workshop. Perfect for beginners and those looking to start a new hobby or business, polymer clay is a versatile and budget-friendly material that can be used to create beautiful and intricate designs.
You'll learn the basics of rolling, cutting, forming, and moulding the clay, and then move on to baking and finishing your pieces with jewellery findings and adhesives. Your designs can be transformed into all sorts of DIY jewellery items such as pendants, earrings, rings, keychains and more.
As you progress, you'll learn more complex techniques such as decorative slabs, canes, and gold leaf application. Apply your new skills to create unique handcrafted jewellery or even small plates or bowls.
Class sizes are kept to a maximum of four, so there is plenty of support and individual time given to you by the teacher to help craft beautiful jewellery.

I first learnt to crochet as a child and spent hours and hours making, sewing, knitting and learning every new technique possible in art, craft and design. After a degree in graphics and 16 years of experience teaching Textiles, Graphics, Art & Design and Design & Technology, I strongly believe in developing my own practice to be the best tutor I can be. I am continually inspired by my students of all ages, so it's definitely a two-way street!
