What you'll do
Create your own beautiful and unique sketchbooks, journals, and books with traditional bookbinding materials and techniques in this beginner-friendly craft workshop set in the Shropshire Hills.
Guided by a talented teacher, you will learn how to cut and stitch pages, create a hardback cover with canvas, and more. You'll use this knowledge to build a gorgeous hardback book, before moving on to sketchbooks, journals or more books. Get creative with alternative structures and styles and let your imagination run wild.
This is a brilliant activity for a birthday party or hen do. Carve out some time in your day to immerse yourself and your pals in a new skill with endless tea and coffee to fuel you.
By the end of this bookbinding workshop, you will have several handbound books to be proud of. Fill them with your thoughts, memories or sketches and keep making even more with your newfound knowledge.
Please note: If you are a group of 2-4, your class will be held in the lovely Severn Studio. If in a group of 5-20, you'll be in a larger studio close by.

I first learnt to crochet as a child and spent hours and hours making, sewing, knitting and learning every new technique possible in art, craft and design. After a degree in graphics and 16 years of experience teaching Textiles, Graphics, Art & Design and Design & Technology, I strongly believe in developing my own practice to be the best tutor I can be. I am continually inspired by my students of all ages, so it's definitely a two-way street!
