What you'll do
Create your very own DIY jewellery at this polymer clay course set in the beautiful Shropshire Hills. Whether you're a total beginner or already have some experience and are wishing to develop intermediate skills, this workshop is perfect for all.
Polymer clay is an affordable and versatile material that is the perfect way to kickstart your new favourite hobby or even start a business. Start simple before developing what you know and create intricate and complex designs.
You will start by getting to grips with the basics of rolling, cutting, forming, and moulding the clay, and then move on to baking and finishing your pieces with jewellery findings and adhesives. Create a variety of pieces such as pendants, earrings, rings, keychains and more, with the guidance of an experienced teacher.
As you progress through the jewellery-making course, you'll learn more advanced techniques such as decorative slabs, hand-built canes, extruded canes, and larger-scale pieces. Working and designing your pieces over two days will help you build confidence and take you to an intermediate level. it provides plenty of time to solidify and perfect what you learn.
This course maintains small class sizes with a maximum of four students to ensure that you will receive individual attention and support from the teacher whilst creating beautiful handmade jewellery. This allows for a more personalized learning experience and ensures that you receive the guidance you need to perfect your craft.
