What you'll do
Spend five days immersing yourself in the world of silver jewellery making! Totally spoil yourself by crafting treasures by hand in a welcoming studio nestled in the stunning Shropshire Hills.
Surrounded by nature, enjoying plenty of tea and coffee and with loads of support from your experienced teacher Rachel, you will enjoy an indulgent retreat. Each day you will have a one-to-one session with Rachel followed by time in the studio for you to explore at your own pace.
In the evenings, relax by the campfire and spend the night glamping in a cosy bell tent during summer or a fantastic retro caravan in the winter.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced jewellery maker, this course is the perfect way to hone your skills and unleash your creativity. At the end of the week, you'll have a beautiful collection of handmade jewellery to take home and cherish plus loads of new skills!
During the retreat you could explore 5 of the following, depending on your experience:
- Rolled, layered, moulded clay.
- Stone setting.
- Patina.
- Filigree.
- Painted paste leaf.
- Round profile ring.
- Flat band ring.
- Mirror polish.
- Copper clay.
- Hollow form.

I first learnt to crochet as a child and spent hours and hours making, sewing, knitting and learning every new technique possible in art, craft and design. After a degree in graphics and 16 years of experience teaching Textiles, Graphics, Art & Design and Design & Technology, I strongly believe in developing my own practice to be the best tutor I can be. I am continually inspired by my students of all ages, so it's definitely a two-way street!
