Ever wanted your own handmade jewellery? This workshop is perfect for improvers who are interested in honing their skills in the shiny world of silversmithing by using silver clay to craft one-of-a-kind designs.
You will enjoy one-to-one sessions with friendly teacher Rachel to develop your knowledge and try out more advanced techniques. Refine your finishing process and improve the quality of your work to produce unique pieces of DIY jewellery or even start a small business!
This jewellery-making course is recommended for people who have already taken part in a silver clay class before or have experience using this versatile material.
During this silver jewellery course you will:
  • Torch and kiln fire your work.
  • Refine/revisit techniques such as rolled, cut, textured and layered pieces, moulded pieces, and finishing techniques.
  • Patina effects with liver of sulphur.
  • Setting cubic zirconia stones.
  • Layered paste leaf.
  • Filigree.
  • Round profile ring (if time allows).
