Ever wanted to try pottery but not sure where to begin? Well, you're in the right place. During this pottery course, you'll have the opportunity to delve into the wonderful world of ceramics. Over the course of six private lessons you'll learn the art of the wheel, handbuilding and many other techniques to craft your own unique pieces.
During each class you'll start by learning new skills and end with plenty of practice time to find your way. This hands-on experience will allow you to get a feel for the different possibilities and find your own personal style.
You'll learn. practise and experience:
How to prepare and recycle clay
Centering, Turning and throwing on the pottery wheel
Different coloured clays inc red, black, white and grog
Hand-building techniques inc slab, coil and pinch pots
Create handles, embellishments and decorations
Surface decoration and painting / glazing
Throughout the course, your instructor, with 17yrs pottery experience, will guide you every step of the way, ensuring you feel supported and encouraged in your pottery journey. The materials needed for each lesson will be provided, so all you need to do is bring your creative spirit and a willingness to learn.
By the end of this transformative experience, you'll not only have gained new skills, but you'll also have up to 6 personally crafted pottery pieces to take home and cherish forever.
Worried you might not be free every week? Good news, we are flexible. There is no need to come on a weekly basis. Once you've booked your first lesson here, you'll be sent a scheduling link and you can simply, book your other lessons as and when you like. You'll have up to 6-months to use all your lessons.
Not only that, you can continue your pottery journey as your host offers, 'Freestyle' sessions, enabling you to continue pottery at your own pace alongside like-minded people.

Just yourself, we'll supply everything else including an apron. Please do not wear your best clothes as it can get a little messy.
Session repeats

An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.

Our London studio offers a variety of workshops and experiences, from pottery to textiles. It's run single-handedly by Amanda who, with 17 years of ceramic experience, teaches everything pottery alongside her guest teachers.
We pride ourselves on running smaller group workshops for a more personalised feel, as well as private experiences and group classes for the whole family.
