Ever wanted to try the pottery wheel but not sure where to begin? Well, you're in the right place. During this pottery wheel course, you'll have the opportunity to delve into the wonderful world of ceramics. Over the course of four private lessons and one community workshop, you'll learn the art of turning, throwing, and painting/glazing to craft your own unique pieces.

For your first lesson, you’ll be taken on a step-by-step journey so to learn the art of throwing and gain confidence in working with the wheel. You’ll also understand how to prepare and recycle the clay.

Lesson two will build upon your progress as you continue to practice throwing and take your skills to the next level discovering how to make different shapes. This hands-on experience will allow you to get a feel for the different possibilities and find your own personal style.

In lesson three, you'll explore different types and amounts of clay, further enhancing your throwing abilities. You’ll then take your skills to the step of learning to turn on the pottery wheel to create professional pots.

For the fourth lesson, you'll have the chance to not only refine your turning skills but also learn how to add beautiful handles, delicate decorations, and other embellishments to your creations. This will truly elevate your pottery to the next level and make each piece uniquely your own.

To round off your pottery journey, you’ll join a painting and glazing workshop. Here, you'll learn how to bring colour and vibrant designs to your pots, giving them that final touch of artistry.

Throughout the course, your experienced instructor will guide you every step of the way, ensuring you feel supported and encouraged in your pottery journey. The materials needed for each lesson will be provided, so all you need to do is bring your creative spirit and a willingness to learn.

By the end of this transformative experience, you'll not only have gained new skills, but you'll also have a collection of personally crafted pottery pieces to take home and cherish forever.

Worried you might not be free every week? Good news, unlike other pottery studios, your host is flexible. There is no need to come on a weekly basis. Once you've booked your first lesson here, you'll be sent a scheduling link and you can simply, book your other lessons as and when you like. You'll have up to 6-months to use all your lessons.

The other good news is after your course, you can continue your pottery journey as your host offers, Your host offers 'Freestyle' sessions, enabling you to continue pottery at your own pace alongside like-minded people.
