Pottery Class for Groups
We had such a lovely time with Amanda making pots! For most of our group it was our first time working with clay, and she made us feel very comfortable and relaxed. One of the best things about this class if the freedom to make whatever you like, starting with the basic pot shape. We ended up with a mix of decorative pieces, serving bowls, boxes, and even a lemon squeezer!
I would recommend this class to anyone, but especially for team or group events. We booked it for a surprise birthday, and it was so much fun. Many thanks again!

- our teacher was lovely! She provided clear step by step guidance
- venue was a very cool studio in an outer-London location. Really nice place to get away and feel creative. I do recommend leaving a bit of extra time to find the studio if you are unfamiliar with the area.
- great value for money! £100 covers 2 people for an initial 2 hour wheel session and a glazing session a couple of weeks afterwards.

Amanda was incredibly nice and she was excellent at explaining the process of wheel throwing. As a beginner with no experience I thought I would not be able to make much during the first class but ended up making two very nice bowls. It was a great experience and will 100% recommend!

Great class! Really enjoyable, Amanda was lovely and helpful and even gave us extra time, almost double the time! It was a birthday present so we were allowed to BYOB which was also a great touch. If you’re thinking of booking a wheel throwing class don’t hesitate to choose this one. We would definitely recommend and will be back :)

I'm so pleased I found this course, Amanda was endlessly patient and it made so much difference having a private class, as it is a tricky art to master! It was brilliant value compared to many others as I brought this for my boyfriend, but I got to come along for free too and the cost of glazing and firing your pots is included. The location is really great and it made for a really nice day!

Brilliant taster session class, excellent tuition (one to one) and lots of hands on practice on the wheel. It’s fun to take turn on the potters wheel and see your creation emerge … my pot was a bit wonky but it’s all part of the fun. Great studio atmosphere and a quirky location. Very patient and enthusiastic teacher and artist, which made for a pleasant, memorable and enjoyable evening.
We left with a sense of achievement and can’t wait to see our pots being glazed and fired in the kiln!

Amanda Cotton (the teacher) was the sweetest and most patient person. She took the time to make us feel extremely welcome by chatting a bit about what we expected out of the session, as well as giving us a brief rundown of her experience in the ceramics space. She also explained the key concepts, and give sufficient time for demonstrations and practice before guiding us to make our own ceramics. The venue definitely gave off the right vibes, complete with calming therapeutic music. All materials were provided, including an apron to keep your clothesAmanda Cotton (the teacher) was the sweetest and most patient person. But really, it's just part and parcel of the experience.
At the point of making the booking, I was quite surprised at the price but after the session I'm fully satisfied that I got my money's worth because of the individualized attention and mentoring that we received.
During the session, we got to create our own ceramic (whether it's a pot or a cup or a bowl) with all the required attention. Furthermore, for no additional cost, we can leave the ceramic there for it to dry out, glazed and put in the kiln. We were told that we would be invited back after a few weeks to do the glazing before it goes in the kiln again. Overall, I went in apprehensive, but came out feeling so happy, like I left an art therapy session. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a couples' activity, or even something to do with a loved one. + more

What a brilliant way to spend the day! Amanda is an amazing teacher and was very attentive to our whole group, almost everyone was a first timer and felt very comfortable and at ease with the class. We all thoroughly enjoyed the class and would definitely do it again.

The class was amazing! The teacher explained everything really well. She was really nice and supportive. The venue was nice and spacious, I liked the fact that we used white clay instead of the brown one it was more unique. The class is a really good for its money we got to make two pots. I learnt about how different clay works and the basics of using the wheel. It was a fantastic experience I highly recommend.
